So, I power on. My class is good, mostly. I have a few challenges this year, but let's be honest, I would be bored without them.
Here is the stressor this year..
the secretary's kid is in my class
the librarian's kid
both subs that covered my class during my surgery last year, their kids are in my room.
a principal from Martinsville high school's kid is in my room
a teacher from Mooresville, her kid is in my room
I feel a lot of pressure to make sure that everyone has a super, great year.
One little girl that I thought was going to be my biggest challenge, has turned into my fave. Her mom told me that she could not wait to be in my class and I was like, uh huh..... And then, here she is, being awesome sauce! We wrote about our best day ever the other day, and she wrote about the day she met me! She was in my success group last year as a second grader. She's really smart and now she's my BFF.

Yikes. That is quite a large class. I have 22, which is the smallest I've had since I've been back to Thirdland. I liked how you said you'd be bored without some challenges. I'm going to try to adopt that attitude. You do have a lot of educator kids in there. That's a compliment!
