Yes, I often think I should have been an MD. It's probably too late at this point. But on the good side: Here's my ridiculous joke. It's kind of a vocabulary-homonym joke, so the kids might like it.
This guy goes into a bar. It's empty except for the bartender who's down at the other end, drying glassware. The guy sits down on a bar stool. He orders a beer. Then he hears a little voice saying, "You're really looking great today!" He looks all around but doesn't see anyone. Then he hears another little voice say, "You sure are smart!" He gets kind of freaked out and looks around but sees no one. Just then he hears another teeny voice saying, "You've got the world by the tail!" The guy jumps off his bar stool and says to the bartender, "Do you hear voices in here?????" The bartender shrugs and says, "Yeah, that's the peanuts. They're complimentary."
